With JCI Ignite London, we've decided to focus more on community projects with in the local boroughs as well as personal development of our members and try improve the quality of life in the communities but showing the young people that they can achieve anything if they put their minds to it - so help them grow some confidence , introduce hope and positivity and see what results come out. We are currently starting with 3 projects ( thought we would start off slowly) as grass roots level.

1. Citizens UK - South London Citizens

Citizens UK describes itself as "the hub of community organising in the UK." It started as London Citizens in 1996,and came to national prominence during the United Kingdom general election, 2010 when all three leaders of the UK's three largest political parties addressed a large meeting of its members in what it billed as the "fourth debate", in reference to the three TV debates. The event was notable for Gordon Brown giving what was widely described as his best speech of the campaign.

2. Money Mentors Mission

Money Mentors – Financial Education Programme from London Citizens and Citizens UK

“The Forefront of Financial Education” – Martin Lewis, Creator of Moneysaving Expert.com

London Citizens UK – London Citizens created a project called Mission: Money Mentors in response to the economic crisis currently facing the community. Their defined commitment is to ensure our young people are supported to becoming confidant and capable in Managing Money. As in this financial situation, there is a real lack of education around managing and dealing with money. So this program was created with the goal of building financial literacy in our schools and Communities in London.

JCI Ignite London have a great passion to show the young people of the world, the opportunities they have and the knowledge and experiences they can learn from to improve the qualities of their lives and their communities.

We, JCI Ignite London and London Citizens are working together to train our members to become money mentors and use that knowledge to teach the young people and children how to deal with money. It’s a really rewarding task to know that we are giving back at no cost to ourselves and making an impact on those we help.

If you’re interested in being part of this team and becoming a money mentor, please email Us here for more information on the events planned for this year and explore the opportunities you can get involved in.

3. Just Do It - CV and Interview courses

First impressions really do count when it comes to applying for a job, so make sure that the jobhunters stand out from the crowd. We help unemployeed people create a winning CV, master the art of interviewing and get that job they  deserve. The range of courses are to suit everyone, from an intensive group half day session to a one-to-one comprehensive executive programme, depending on the needs. Our members provide these training sessions for the local communities from all based on their own experiences and those around them.
